Judas Priest Allegedly Did "Horrendously" In The Rock Hall of Fame's Voting Committee

October 16, 2018

Despite being eligible since 1999, Judas Priest is one of the many bands that have continued to be snubbed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In an interview on the radio show Feedback, nominating committee member Alan Light offered some insight as to why Judas Priest went another year without induction.

Even though Judas Priest did very well in the fan poll last year, Light says that they fared "horrendously" in the Hall of Fame's official 30-person voting committee. Instead, they decided to turn their focus for hard rock to Def Leppard instead.

Judas Priest is grouped in with a huge collection of other worthy artists that have not been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame either, like Iron Maiden, Soundgarden, Motörhead, Pantera, Nine Inch Nails, Tina Turner, Dio, Ozzy Osbourne, and more.
