Joan Jett Fights For Her Right To Rock In "Bad Reputation" Documentary

July 25, 2018

Back in Hollywood during the 1970's, rock was exclusively a boy's club. That was until a young lady named Joan Jett came around and started to make a lot of noise.

"Joan Jett didn't want to be Joni Mitchell," says Iggy Pop. "Joan Jett wanted to rock."

In the trailer for the documentary Bad Reputation, viewers get a chance to view Joan Jett's rise to fame amidst backlash from other musicians, critics, and audience. "I didn't think it would be such a big deal for a girl to play rock n' roll," Jett says in the trailer. "The tables turned where it went from cute, sweet, to... slut."

"Tell me I can't do something... I'm gonna be doing it."

Bad Reputation will be available in theaters and streaming services on September 28th. Check out the trailer below!
