November 1, 2018

Some of the biggest names in rock and metal gathered together to take part in the fourth annual 'Bowl For Ronnie' charity event to benefit to raise money for the late singer's Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund.

Among those in attendence included Jack Black of Tenacious D, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine/Audioslave/Prophets of Rage, Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, Adam Jones of Tool, and radio dj Eddie Trunk. “Ronnie James Dio, huge influence on me, and a personal friend,” Black said at the event. “Miss him terribly. Greatest heavy metal singer of all time and such a sweet, genuine dude. Great person to hang with, so lucky to have known him for the time that I did. And this is an opportunity to celebrate him and I wouldn’t miss it.”

"It;s fantastic!" says Dio's widow Wendy Dio. "I'm so excited and I'm so overwhelmed, but everyone gives their time and their talent to this event to raise money for cancer."
