Halestorm Hints At Possible Return to the Studio in 2020

June 25, 2019

When Halestorm's album Vicious dropped in 2018, it was big step forward for the band. It topped at No. 8 on the Billboard 200, their debut single "Uncomfortable" ruled at No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Chart for many weeks, and they earned a Grammy nomination for "Best Rock Performance."

After nearly a year out touring, The Sound Lab caught up with bassist Josh Smith at the Shiprocked cruise to discuss any future plans on new music in the following year.

"I would imagine the reason is that we wanna get back in the studio and make some more music," says Smith. "That's our loose plan right now,"

"This album, for us, was not a departure, but a return to the Halestorm of old," Smith said of Vicious. "It took a lot longer, but we re-found parts of ourselves that I think we haven't had in some time. So I'm really looking forward to continuing down that hole and seeing what we come up with to make Halestorm more Halestorm and more us individually."
