Tom DeLonge walked away from playing in Blink-182 to pursue his true passion in life, studying the existence of intelligent life from other planets. He is also the President, CEO and co-founder of the To The Stars Academy of Arts & Science, which is a team of some of the highest-ranked members of the US intelligece community to "bring transformative science and engineering out of the shadows and collaborate with global citizens to apply that knowledge in a way that benefits humanity."

Now the History Channel has greenlit a mini-series titled Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation with DeLonge as the executive producer and Luis Elizondo, who was a former military intelligence official who confirmed the existence of the Pentagon's Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) as one of the series' key figures.

The synopsis of Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation will consist of urging the US government to confirm information it has on UFOs to the public. "Former government officials disclose new information in an effort to change government policy about the potential threats UFOs pose to U.S. national security."

"With this show, the real conversation can finally begin," says DeLonge. "I’m thankful to 'History' for giving the To The Stars Academy team of world-class scientists, engineers and intelligence experts the opportunity to tell the story in a comprehensive and compelling way. I think everyone that watches the show will walk away with questions answered and a feeling of, 'wow, I get it now.'"
