Dave Grohl Reprises His Role as Satan on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

December 19, 2018

Dave Grohl is such a cool guy. He's built a reputation as being 'the nicest guy in rock' and we frankly couldn't agree more. But the tables are turned as Grohl goes from Mr. Nice Guy to the embodiment of all evil as Satan in a sketch on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

It all started when the Satanic Temple of Chicago decided to set up a "Snaketivity" statue in Springfield, IL, which upset many religious leaders. So Kimmel decided to go to the top authority by asking God (played by Billy Crystal) for his take.

We quickly learn that the Almighty isn't too fond of the city of Chicago. "Chicago is a sinful place, I mean they have gangsters, they had Al Capone, the Black Sox scandal of 1919 and don’t get me started on that horrible deep dish pizza crap… you don’t eat pizza with a knife and a fork am I right?" But as far as the his thoughts of removing the "Snaketivity" statue goes, he is “fine with it.”

We later learn that after thousands and thousands of years, God and the fallen angel Lucifer (played by Dave Grohl) have made up and are best buds now. “Hey listen people if Taylor Swift and Katy Perry can make up, why can’t we? Boom!”

As many Foo Fighters fans may recall, this isn't the first time Grohl as portrayed the Devil on screen. In 2006, Grohl famously donned the tarred-hooves of Satan in Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny in an epic rock battle for the sake of Kage's soul.
