Elon Musk's New SpaceX Rocket Will Include An Endless Loop Of David Bowie's "Space Oddity"

February 6, 2018

Elon Musk is basically the real-life version of MARVEL Comics' Iron Man. He's a philanthropic billionaire genius who is revolutionizing modern technology from cars, to household appliances, to space ships.

Among those things, he also has great taste in music. Because for his next project for his space exploration company, SpaceX, he is going to launch a Tesla Roadster into the stars while blasting David Bowie's "Space Oddity."

According to a post to his Instagram account, he wanted his launch to be something special. So rather than just send a hunk of metal into space, "The payload will be an original Tesla Roadster, playing Space Oddity, on a billion year elliptic Mars orbit."

Just watch the animated simulation of the launch below.
