"The Dirt" Lands Mötley Crüe First Top 10 Album In 11 Years

April 2, 2019

For the first time in 11 years, Mötley Crüe is back on the Billboard Top 10 albums chart thanks to their Netflix biopic, The Dirt.

Based on the band's best-selling memoir of the same title, the film's soundtrack propelled the band to the Top 10 since their 2008 album, Saints of Los Angeles, which topped at No. 4. The Dirt soundtrack features some of Mötley Crüe's greatest hits like "Live Wire", "Shout at the Devil", "Kickstart My Heart", and "Dr. Feelgood", as well as four original tracks recorded by the band, including a cover of Madonna's "Like A Virgin."
