Chick-fil-A Pursuing Its First Restaurant In Boston

November 8, 2018

The fast-food restaurant chain Chick-fil-A currently has 12 locations throughout Massachusetts, including Dedham, Burlington, Framingham and Peabody. But now the company is planning on opening its first Boston location in the Back Bay.

Currently occupied by a Boloco burrito restaurant, Chick-fil-A is planning on taking over the location at 569 Boylston Street near Copley Square.

In 2012, Chick-fil-A previously drew sharp criticism from former Boston Mayor Tom Menino for the company CEO's stance on gay marriage, and would not allow them to set up a restaurant from City Hall where the first same-sex couples in the US were legally married.
