'Bohemian Rhapsody' Lands Five Academy Award Nominations

They were the champions of the Golden Globe awards, now Bohemian Rhapsody will running with the big dogs in the 91st annual Academy Awards with five nominations.

After earning a nomination for the coveted 'Best Film' category, the Queen biopic will be going up against Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, The Favourite, Green Book, Roma, A Star Is Born and Vice.

Rami Malek received the award for 'Best Actor' at the Golden Globes, and he is nominated in the same category again in the Oscars alongside Christian Bale (Vice), Bradley Cooper (A Star Is Born), Willem Dafoe (At Eternity's Gate) and Viggo Mortensen (Green Book).

Bohemian Rhapsody also snagged three nominations in the technical fields for 'Sound Editing', 'Sound Mixing' and 'Film Editing.'

The hostless Oscars will be held on Feb. 24 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, CA and will be airing at 8PM ET on ABC.
