If you are a die-hard RUSH fan, then you may want to sit down for this.

In November 2016, drummer Neil Peart announced that he would be retiring from touring with the band due to health-related reasons. Despite Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson's enthusiasm to continue touring and making music, it seems that the book may finally be closing on RUSH.

In an interview with The Globe and Mail, Alex Lifeson revealed that after 41 years, RUSH had basically run its course and have no plans to tour or record new music.

But that doesn't mean that Lifeson is quitting music altogether. He says that he is occupied writing on four or five smaller projects, receiving requests to lend his guitar skills to other clients, writing for his own collumn in the West End Phoenix, and has allowed himself to be more creative than he has ever been before.
