Aerosmith Forced To Cancel Tour Dates Due To Steven Tyler's 'Medical Issues'

Due to unexpected medical issues involving Steven TylerAerosmith announced that they have to cancel four dates on the South American tour. In a statement released by the band, "Unfortunately, due to unexpected medical issues, lead singer, Steven Tyler, is seeking immediate care and has been advised by his doctors that he cannot travel or perform at this time. Therefore, the last four shows of the South American tour will be canceled."

The four cancelled dates are:

9/27 - Curitiba, Brazil
9/30 - Santiago, Chile
10/3 - Rosario, Argentina
10/7 - Monterrey, Mexico

Although it is undisclosed what kind of medical issues Tyler is experiencing, he expected to make a full recovery. "With proper rest and treatment he will be back on his feet soon rocking the world."

Tyler himself also addressed his health issues without specifying his diagnosis, "I am not in a life threatening condition, but I need to deal with this right away, and get some rest and medical care immediately in order to sustain and maintain my future performances."
