10 Times Ronnie James Dio Rocked Harder Than Anybody

July 6, 2017

On July 10th, 2017, Ronnie James Dio would have celebrated his 75th birthday. Sadly after a battle with stomach cancer, Dio passed away on May 16th, 2010.

But after starting Rainbow with Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple, being brought in to take over vocals for Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath, forming Dio, and then Heaven & Hell with Tony IommiGeezer Butler and Vinny Appice of Black Sabbath, as well as popularizing the iconic "Devil Horns" hand sign, Dio certainly lived an incredible life in music by wowing millions with his incomparable voice.

Although ten examples of Dio aren't enough to pay tribute to the man's legend, they are rather the tip of the iceberg of what the band was capable of.

  1. "Don't Talk To Strangers"

  2. "Neon Knights"

  3. "Man on the Silver Mountain"

  4. "Stargazer"

  5. "Die Young"

  6. "The Mob Rules"

  7. "The Last In Line"

  8. "Holy Diver"

  9. "Rainbow In The Dark"

  10. "Children of the Sea"
