Snoop Dogg, Incubus, and More Send 311 Love for Their 30th Anniversary

Plus, the band announced a new livestream event celebrating 30 years

311 is celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2020 and have an impressive list of musicians and celebrities lined up to offer their congratulations.

The band put out a video called “Kind Words From Kind Friends” showcasing the shoutouts they received. Among those congratulating 311 include Snoop Dogg, Jonathan Davis of Korn, Tony Kanal of No Doubt, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, Method Man from Wu-Tang Clan, Venus Williams, Stephen Perkins from Jane’s Addiction, Rome Ramirez from Sublime with Rome, Jose Pasillas from Incubus, and more.

311 fans paid tribute to the band’s 30th anniversary by making a collaborative video showcasing numerous fans performing a virtual rendition of their song “Tranquility.”

“Reaching our 30 year anniversary as a band has been a dream come true. To think of all the sights and sounds along the way has made for an incredible scrapbook of memories with more to come. We’re truly grateful for this milestone and for our dedicated fans; an incredible community, who continue to inspire our journey. Many thanks!” Nick Hexum said in a statement.

In addition to the tributes, 311 is paying it back to fans with a free stream of their Mardi Gras concert in New Orleans from earlier this year. Called 311 Live From Mardi Gras 2020, fans can tune in to Direct TV channel 104/105 and at FanTracks.com on Saturday, August 15 at 11 PM ET/8 PM PT to watch the set.

On top of the concert livestream, the band will be debuting a 9-part webisode series in mid-August called 30 Years of 311 that will chronicle the band’s storied career.
