Joe Exotic's team confident that President Trump will pardon him

November 19, 2020

Famed "Tiger King" star Joe Exotic has a team behind him that's hopeful for his eventual prison release at the hands of President Trump.

The Tiger Team leader, Eric Love, spoke with TMZ about the pardon, saying they feel really good about Exotic's release. In fact, the team has already entered an agreement with a limousine company to scoop the big cat owner up once he gets out from behind bars.

They have a Dodge Ram pickup stretch limo on standby 24/7 so they can be sure not to miss their window.

Exotic is serving 22 years in prison for his attempted murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin. Exotic has a 257-page case arguing why Trump should give him pardon.

Exotic, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, recently sent President Trump the 257-page application for his pardon, which included "several character affidavits, letters of support, various trial documents" and even a handwritten letter from Joe Exotic himself.

In his application, the former zookeeper maintained his innocence stating that he was “railroaded and betrayed” by others.

Joe Exotic asked in his letter to Trump to "grant me a miracle."

He wrote, "If I have ever looked up to anyone it would be you. Not because I need you to save my life but because you stand for what you believe no matter what anyone thinks."

Further attempts to get Exotic released from prison have been made, including a plea from husband Dillon Passage to stars like Cardi B and Kim Kardashian.

Passage says he reached out to Cardi B, who has joked about starting a GoFundMe campaign to help the docuseries star get out of prison. Additionally Passage says he’s reached out to Kim Kardashian. However, these efforts have not been fruitful for the couple.
