How do you say goodbye after 50 amazing years? You take it home by throwing an epic party with former DJs, iconic rock stars, and most importantly, faithful fans.

In 1970, WAAF flipped formats and became an FM Rock Station…venturing into the world of Progressive Rock and Heavy Metal…and helping to break bands of the day like Black Sabbath and Aerosmith. That tradition has continued through the years as those bands paved the way for the likes of Extreme, Godsmack, Sevendust, Staind, and Shinedown. WAAF also put on some of the biggest shows in New England (Indoor Beach Party, Big Field Day, & Locobazooka) and featured some of the most talented -- if not controversial -- personalities on the radio like Bob Rivers, Liz Wilde, Opie & Anthony, and Hill-Man.

On February 20th and 21st, 2020…Mistress Carrie and Mike Hsu organized and hosted what has already been called one of the greatest farewells in Rock Radio history as WAAF signed off on 107.3 FM for the last time.
