Contest Rules

These Contest rules are specific to the above Contest conducted by Entercom Boston, LLC d/b/a WAAF (collectively, the “Station”).   Except to the extent specifically set forth below with respect to this specific Contest, the Station’s general contest rules apply to this Contest as well.  A copy of these specific Contest rules and the Station’s general contest rules are available at the Station’s studio at 20 Guest Street, 3rd floor, Brighton, MA 02135 during regular business hours and on the Station’s website at www.waaf.com/rules. To the extent that the general contest rules differ from these rules, these rules will govern and control with respect to this Contest.

How to Enter/How to Win

1. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win the WOOFstock Dog Costume contest (the “Contest”).

2. Anyone who wishes to be a contestant in the Contest and is not a ticket holder for the event simply needs to go to the Entrance Gate of the McCurdy Track of the Harvard Athletic Complex, located at 145 North Harvard Street, Boston, MA 02134 (the “Venue”) on June 30, 2018 between the hours of 12:00pm (ET) and 2:00pm (ET) and ask for the Station Contest judge.  If the Station Contest judge determines that such contestant and his or her dog are a potential candidate for the Contest, then such contestant and his or her dog will be allowed to enter WOOFstock, and such contestant and his or her dog will be escorted into the event by a Station representative and shall be allowed to remain at WOOFstock.  If the Station judge determines that such contestant is NOT a potential candidate for the Contest, then such contestant will NOT be allowed to enter WOOFstock.

3. On June 30, 2018, Station will conduct a Dog Costume Contest at WOOFstock, occurring at the Venue.  Doors will open at 12:00pm (ET).   All potential entrants must present their dog at the Station Contest Tent located near the entrance of the Venue by 2:00pm (ET) to be considered for participating.  At 2:00pm, Station Contest judges will begin judging costumes and will pass out cards to the up to twelve (12) individuals who have the dogs in the best costumes, based upon any lawful criteria Station Contest judges deem desirable and subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the Contest rules (each, a “Qualifier”).  The cards will have specific instructions on where and to meet in order to compete for the Grand Prize at approximately 2:30pm.  QUALIFIERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE PRESENT TO COMPETE FURTHER IN THIS CONTEST FOR THE DURATION OF THE CONTESTING AND FINAL WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT.  If Qualifier does not present themselves within five (5) minutes of the designated time for the final judging, regardless of the reason, Station reserves the right to disqualify that selected contestant.  QUALIFIERS MUST KEEP THEIR DOGS IN THEIR COSTUME DURING THE CONTESTING.

4. All Qualifiers will be paraded around the Venue grounds and introduced as they pass by the stage.

5. At approximately 2:45pm (ET), Station judges (who may be the same or different than the initial judges) will select one (1) winner, based upon any lawful criteria the Station Contest judges deem desirable, including, without limitation, crowd noise and reaction, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these rules.  The selection of grand prize winner shall be in the sole discretion of the Station judges, on any lawful criteria they deem desirable, and is not subject to dispute or appeal.

6. Contestants may not violate any federal, state or local laws and must not harm or endanger yourself or other persons or property. Any contestant who Station determines may have created a public hazard, caused interference with or destruction of property and/or utilized public safety resources will be disqualified. Any Contestant whose costume is considered degrading to cultural groups, religious groups, women, or from any dress that portrays other guests in a stereotyped way may be disqualified from the Contest with or without notice to such entrant. All costumes must not impair another guest’s view or enjoyment of the event and clothing must fit within the boundary of an individual’s ticketed seat location. No storage of costumes will be permitted. All costumes and props must comply with venue security regulations and bag/person check procedures.   Additionally, toy guns or weapons, costumes with wiring or electrical requirements, live creatures (other than dogs), incendiary devices of any kind and nudity will not be permitted.  If the dog’s owner is also in costume, their face must be visible and match legal Identification for entry to alcohol sales areas and for purchase and consumption of alcoholic beverages.  The Station and venue reserves the right to refuse admission to or require leaving the venue by any person whose costume does not comply with these guidelines or poses a danger to other patrons.

7. By entering this Contest, Entrants understand and agree that Station may take photograph and post such photographs on its website or social media sites for no additional compensation.  Further, by entering this Contest, entrants understand that Station judges or other staff may choose to comment on, mock, poke fun at, and/or mimic any Costume or entrant.  Entrants waive any right to make any claim against Station or any Contest sponsors with respect to any comments - disparaging or otherwise - made regarding such Entrant’s and/or his/her costume.



9. One (1) prize will be awarded in this Contest.  The one (1) verified winner of this Contest will receive one (1) night standard double occupancy accommodations at XV Beacon Hotel, 15 Beacon Street, Boston, MA 02108, blackout dates apply.  Valid until June 30, 2019. Valued at approximately $400.00.
